MenuPro is a digital menu browser app startup, which began in 2024 on the island of Phuket, Thailand. The motivation for it’s creation was born out of a language barrier problem and poor customer experience in local restaurants.

My role & input

As a product co-founder I took it upon myself to do research, interviews, roadmap, design, testing, improving and final product delivery. Right now Menu Pro is a functioning business in Thailand with ambitious plans of expanding to other countries.

pains & challenges

Around 11 000 000 tourist visit Phuket every year.

  • Around 75% of tourists speak poor English
  • 90% of Thai staff do not exceed elementary English level
  • Often paper menus contain very little information about the dish
  • Miscommunication leads to order mistakes
  • Guests often complain about poor customer service
  • Bill splitting often done incorrectly
